LOL It's that Mediterranean or "Latin" look . . . I can spot it a mile away. I love trying to guess ethnicity, but I'm usually wrong, as presently.  Cheesy But not too far off . . .

My husband is party Greek (about 1/8th) and you should see our older daughter.  If you've ever seen Giada DeLaurentis on the Food Network (back in my secular TV watching days) she looks very much the same.

Dunno that person on TV, but I'm sure your daughter's cute!

Try Sophia Loren. A real Mediterannean beauty. And my daughter's always hated her nose!

So far I like the Bible, but see some of it's shortcomings. I'll get an RSV eventually, but I want one in GIANT print!  Grin

Mark,

Here is a link to an old version of a CATHOLIC Bible Commentary.  They were compiled(Old and New Testament) by the late Rev. Fr. George Leo Haydock, following the Douay-Rheims Bible.*

This is a great resource!  Wink

So, it there an RSV study bible in LARGE print?

I can read the regular print ok, it just kind of messes w/my eyes. Perhaps I should get some better reading glasses than the cheap ones off the shelf.

I got mine from EWTN. And love the large print! With my other one I needed a magnifying glass, even with reading glasses.

The one I have is the one that came up on your post directly after mine. I paid the original price for mine ($50.00) but see it's now on sale. Good deal if you ask me.

Does it have the words of Christ in red? There's not a lot of info on it.

No and frankly the only thing that  annoys me about it is they write "he" when referring to God when I was always taught, way back when, to write it as "He". Sometimes I'll take a pen and change it myself.

Think I may get the last one I posted a link to; "Saint Benedict Press W/Tan Books."  For some reason I thought the NAB Catholic Answer Bible I bought was in large print, eh, at least the apologetic pages are!  Grin

Estelle,

You sound like me. I always capitalize any pronouns that refer directly to the Godhead. Unfortunately, I haven't seen too many translations - even the Douay-Rheims (yes, I have one of those that I bought from TAN awhile back) - that capitalize them. Pity. Seeing them in small letters seems almost demeaning to me.

Btw, speaking of Bibles, I found a nice hardback NRSV Catholic Women's Devotional Bible at a Protestant bookstore for $5. Go figure.  Smiley I guess they didn't want that on the shelf for too long, eh?  Grin

God bless +
