I will be meeting Tuesday 3/27 at 2:30pm (eastern) with the new vocations director for my archdiocese. (I met with the previous director in 2005.) I hope that this meeting will help move my discernment for the priesthood forward--perhaps an invitation to the next retreat or other event. Thanks.
Brian

You will most definitely be in my prayers. Let us know how it goes.

To keep things simple, I'll just say that the vocations director told me that he is not going to continue the application process with me at this time. I see this as a time for me to re-evaluate my calling and see where the Lord takes me next. Thanks.

Brian -
Don't forget, we all have a "calling" whether we're lay or religious, - one certainly to be taken seriously.
Some of my favorite resources on this are:
1. "The Lay Members Of Christ's Faithful People" ( Christifideles Laici).
2. "The Role Of The Christian Family In The Modern World" ( Familiaris Consortio).
- Both by John Paul II
3. Vatican II - Gaudium Et Spes ( Co-authored by John Paul II ( Karol Wojtyla)).
4. Vatican II - Decree On The Apostolate of the Laity.
God bless !
