Please pray for the students at Virginia Tech killed in the shooting rampage today:
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Please pray for those injured in the shootings:
Heavenly Father, grant them healing and consolation, through your Son, the Divine Physician who came to heal the sick and forgive sinners. Send the Holy Spirit of Consolation to bring them peace through the watchful care of their guardian angels. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Please pray for the the families of those killed:
Blessed Mother Mary, you know the tragic pain of losing a child. Console those who's children, parents, siblings and friends were taken at the beginning of their adult lives. Grant peace and consolation to those who mourn, for your Son told us they would be blessed. Heavenly Father, keep them in the hollow of your hand as the Spirit of Consolation heals their wounds, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen
Please pray for the families of those injured:
Holy Mother Mary, bring strength and courage to those who must stand by their children, parents, siblings and friends as they struggle to return to health after today's tragic events. You gave us the example of loving, faithful care as you stood by your Son's holy cross. Heavenly Father, grant these victims of random violence your healing love according to your will, through the healing grace of your only Son conveyed through the Spirit who brings grace to us all. For this we pray. Amen
And finally, please also pray for the shooter and his family and friends, who also mourn today.
Eternal rest grant until him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
May his loved ones be consoled as only the Holy Spirit can bring consolation to those carrying so heavy a burden as the knowledge that someone they love gave his life in a senseless act of violence. My God have mercy on their souls. Amen

Cajunrick,
Of all the pieces, articles, columns, editorials, etc., that I've read thus far, your prayer request is by far the best and most even-handed dedication of words to properly suit the somber tone in the wake of this tragic atrocity.
You've helped to make at least my heart a little lighter. Thank you.
