As some of you know, I've been looking for a job for simply ages. I finally had an interview at our local newspaper for a writer/graphic arts position - something that sounds like it might be right up my alley, though just a little more challenging than what I'm used to (scares me a little, but maybe I need a good challenge...). But since it's in an area that I enjoy (Desktop Publishing), maybe it would be good for me.

Anyway, they'd said they would let me know something by the end of the week, and when the end of the week came with no news, I figured I'd probably better prepare myself for a rejection letter in the mail. Well, yesterday I opened my e-mail (through which some of the communication has been taking place concerning this job) and there was an e-mail asking me to come in for a second interview. It's tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2:00.

So if any of you read this before then, I'd sure appreciate your prayers! I really need a job right now. And if, by the grace of God, I do get it... please pray that I can handle the challenge.

Thanks ahead of time!

I'm praying for you sister. Even though I'm out of the job hunting business, I know what a grind it is and how harsh a rejection letter reads. But, on the other side, they might be doing you a favor. Hard to see things like that when you want something badly, but put your dreams in God's hands.

He'll give you both the strength to handle a rejection, and the wisdom to do a great job and make the possible employer glad he took you on!

God's Blessings for you and Good Luck.

Thanks for your prayers! Means a lot. I just got an e-mail from the guy today; when I first saw it was from him, my heart almost sank because I figured they'd probably phone me if I actually get the job, so I was afraid it might be a rejection. But when I opened it, he was just telling me that he'll be letting me know one way or the other by next week. So I'm still in the running! Keep praying!

I'll certainly add your intentions to my prayers also.  It sounds like a very interesting job.

God Bless
