Hello Everyone,
Early this morning I received some bad news; my cousin's baby had passed away. I don’t know the exact terminology but I believe the baby was a "still-born." Well, I’m posting this to the forum to ask if everyone can pray for my family and my cousin. Faith is so important during this time in everybody's life. If any of you know of any prayers for infants or death in particular, please post it. I would love to share them with my family. Thank You and God Bless.

Welcome to the Coming Home Network. I regret that this is your first post as I don't feel the circumstances allow for a proper welcome. I'll save that for another time.
The death of a child is a horrible thing. We don't know how such a tragedy can fit into God's overall plan, but we know that it does. And now that the Church has officially reconsidered the idea that unbaptized children cannot experience the Beatific Vision, we can be comforted in knowing that Jesus' desire is to let the children come to him. And we also know that those who mourn are blessed, for they will be comforted.
You didn't mention the child's gender, so let me generalize:
Eternal rest grant unto this precious child, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine on all those who are blessed to experience eternal reward without having to undergo the trials of this life. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace.
Grant comfort, peace and understanding to the parents, (siblings,) and family of this precious child draw closer to you, the Creator of us all, through the feelings of love they experienced for your purest creation, an unborn child, and let that love be experienced by all the unwanted children who will die in the horror of abortion.
And we ask especially for your blessing for the mother, who grew to love the child growing within her, as our Mother Mary grew to love her child Jesus growing in her womb. May her emptiness be filled with the reasuring presence of God's loving mercy.
This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you for your prayer Cajun Rick. The child was a boy. I will pray for my cousin and family and forward your prayer so that we all can share and pray together. Again I thank you. God Bless.

I posted a YouTube video that your family might also find helpful. You'll find it in this thread. You can also search for it at YouTube under the name "99 Balloons".
