I leave later this week for my first vacation in many years. I am pretty apprehensive about the drive with my health problems, etc. Please pray I just stay safe. I will be going alone and making a prayer retreat and getting over the church turmoil, etc. of the last year or so.:)

I will be back July 8th with the springs on the car strained by souveniers (sp?).

It's good to hear you are back safe and sound!  And that you had the peace and quiet to hear bird calls.  We drove to Atlanta with three grandkids to see the Georgia Aquarium.  It was fantastic, I recommend it to everyone.  But for us, on that particular weekend, it was not relaxing!

Oh, my! the aquarium sounds great.

the cabin was so quiet at night, the only sound was the tinnitus in my ears! and the only light was the moonlight reflected off the lake.

i went kayaking in the mornings, the lake was smooth as glass. my blood pressure and stress level are way down now. and i lost a pound too, from the exercise and not snacking as much!

It sure is nice to "get away from it all."  God bless you on your safe return. Darlene
