Minneapolis after a bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed Wednesday, killing four people and injuring dozens more.
Let's keep these people in our prayers and in our thoughts.
Dan.

I want offer a prayer as well for the Family who still may not know anything. May they find the peace of Christ in this situation. For all the rescue crews who have been on the job from the beginning. May they also feel God's peace in their efforts. Amen

And we offer prayers of thanks for the many people who are ok, even though they very well could have been killed. Lots of miracles happened there.
My sister was on Hwy 35 when this happened, and at the last second decided to take 35E home, rather than 35W. She saw what had happened on the news and realized she would have been on or near the bridge had she gone via her regular route.

The bridge collapse is a tragic event, to be sure, and when I continue to read the news accounts, I remain stunned that the death toll is not higher. The bridge fell the equivalent of six stories into the river. They say that the river absorbed most of the shock, which makes sense, but it's still so amazing that most people simply walked away.
What is also amazing, and pretty terrific, is how such a catastrophe can bring out the best in people. I was moved to tears about the kids on the school bus being literally tossed from the emergency exit and carried to terra firma. The bus was on a precarious incline and that section of the bridge could have plunged down at any second. Yet people scrambled to help, risking their own lives. Those rescuers lived out the selfless love of the Gospel.
Thank you, Danny, for offering up your prayers for the city of Minneapolis. I am glad to see you online and continue to pray for you and your employment situation.
Elizabeth
