I have been searching for my vocation the past year. I feel some attachment to monastic life. I like the Carmelite tradition, but would long for a stricter order. Does anyone know any Carmelite monks living the strict observance? Or who can introduce someone to help.
Also, other very penitential order are the Trappist Monks. They use the rule of Benedict. I would also speak with the Institute on Religious Life. They have provided me a wealth of information. (be prepared to be bombarded with emails and such).
