Fabi is a young, christian man who is undocumented in this country. His whole family is in Mexico. He looked fine a month ago. My family loves him dearly. He is a very good person. Fabi tried to committ suicide this morning. He is fighting for his life. Keep him in your prayers.

| Angie, I will pray for Fabi and put him on our prayer chain at church. How terrible it must be for him, with no family to help or support him. There are many tragedies involved in illegal immigration, not only here but in their home countries as well, with spouses and children left behind. Whatever our politics are, there is humanity involved. Please let us know how he is doing.

Thank God Fabi's life is not in danger anymore. The family he lives with contacted us two days ago. We haven't been able to communicate with him because his phone is off. We do not know where he lives :? I am praying the Lord gives him the stregth to forgive himself. Thanks for your prayers.

| Thank you Angie for updating us about Fabi. I will let the prayer chain at church know. So often we pray for people we don't know, and never find out the results of their situation. I have sort of learned to let that be a lesson, that I don't have to get feedback when I have prayed. But when I do, it is nice. Please let us know how he is if you hear.

This certainly is a true statement Marsha, exactly how I feel about it.
I was especially worried about Fabi, I've had personal experience with suicide victims and I know how difficult it is to take.
Thank you Angie, we appreciate hearing how your friend is doing. I pray that he never find himself so despondent ever again. I pray everyone who surronds him has love and forgiveness for him too.
Suicide is the worst of tragedies, for the one who dies and those who survive them.
I'm so thankful that Fabi has you & your family Angie.
God Bless you all
Betty

Again thanks for your prayers. Here it is an update on Fabi. I had the opportunity to have a lenghty phone conversation with him a few days. Fabi requested the family he lives with not to tell anyone about the whole incident. He does not know we know about it. I was afraid Fabi did this because of another person. He confided in me that he is going through hard times. It seems he fell in love with someone who is inmature. They had a break up. His self-esteem is very low. This young woman told him that Fabi was good for nothing. I reassure Fabi that he is very special person who has wonderful gifts and qualities. We talked about healthy relationships and healthy people. I tried to give him as much advice as possible without bringing up the word suicide. I do not want him to suspect I know what he tried to do to himself. If he finds out, he'd be embarrassed and would retrieve. I am not sure if he has enough trust and feels comfortable to share it with my family. I invited him to stop by and visit us that way he does not feel so lonely. At the end of our conversation, I emphasized our Father's mercy and love for him. I really hope some of the things I said to him would make sense and bring some hope into his life.
Blessings,
Angie

| Christ my Lord, the Giver of light and wisdom, who opened the eyes of the blind man and transformed the fishermen into wise heralds and teachers of the gospel through the coming of the Holy Spirit, shine also in Fabi's mind the light of the grace of the Holy Spirit. Grant him discernment, understanding and wisdom in learning. Enable him to find peace in you Jesus, and to abound in every good work, for to You we give honor and glory. Amen.
