Hi friends,

Please pray, I just found a posting for a position in Campus ministry.  Many of us converts have gone on this path to be able to work in ministry again since we are no longer clergy.

There is some concern that my training and education and experience may not be considered adequate since it was as a Baptist.  Pray that those who review my application will be open to my explanation of how I have come to the fullness of faith as a Catholic.

Most of all, let us pray that it is God's will, not just my own ambition.

Monte

My prayers are definitely with you!  May I ask which school?  I know some folks at WU, you know!

Monte, God knows how well qualified you are. So do we. Prayer is all you ask. We’ll give you a lot of it.

Lord, give Monte a chance to breathe again! He’s been in mothballs too long. He’ll be a great campus minister. I trust him, don’t You?

David

Monte, my prayers are with you.  Belmont Abbey is a beautiful school.  I really think former protestants can be convincing and have a good perspective on RCC teaching.  You would be an asset to their school, and to the work of the Lord.  God bless your endeavor.

Monte, I am praying about this.  On a smaller scale I have some understanding of your situation.  After teaching an adult Sunday School class for decades, I really missed having that as a regular part of Sunday mornings.  Fortunately, I have been able to lead a small adult Bible study group in my home on a weekday evening.  We have to wait upon God to see whether these doors are what He has in mind.  I'm hoping this one opens wide for you, Monte.

O Lord, You who steadied the hand of Peter as he began to sink on the stormy sea, if you are with Monte, no one is against him. Grant to him the shield of faith and the mighty armor of the Holy Spirit to protect  and guide him to do Your will, that you will provide the right position of employment for him. The future he puts into Your hands, O Lord, and will follow You to a deeper life in Christ. Amen
