On Saturday of Holy Week this year I was involved in a minor car wreck that involved several cars in bad weather.  I'll spare ya'll the details.  But, a man I helped and consoled, as he was very shaken up, has changed his story and might be suing me.

My conscience is clean and I don't regret helping him.  Please keep us both in your prayers.

Lance,

I will be praying about this.

I hope you do not need an attorney.
You might consider arranging for a consultation so that you
can be wise (as well as principled) should anyone ask you questions.

Oh, dear, Lance, that's terrible.  I'm praying right now that the Spirit of God would prick that man's conscience and not allow him to do such an evil thing.

Keep your chin up.  You did the right thing.

Contact your insurance company, their attorneys will take care of this for you.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, bring peace to Lance and place this whole situation in right order according to your Word.

Does your state have a Good Samaritan law?  If not, it's time to contact your state legislators.

I would consult with an attorney now. If the threat doesn't materialize, fine, but if it does you will already have some information and will be less nervous.

Thank you all for the prayers.  I was officially served the papers yesterday, which was quite an experience.  The deputy that served me was very nice.  We chatted for about twenty minutes.  His son is going to law school in the spring at a Catholic university.

I'm going to have to find a lawyer and do all that fun stuff.  I'm not mad or anything, just very hurt.  Again, thank you all for the prayers.  The Son will still shine tomorrow.

I will pray for your situation. You sound like a very humble, wonderful man. My heart breaks when things like this happen. As you already know, the Lord will see you through this. God Bless!

O God, our help in time of need, Who are just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people. Look down upon Lance and have mercy on him and deliver him from the trouble that now besets him. Deal with us not according to our iniquities, but according to Your manifold mercies, for we are the works of Your hands, and You know our weaknesses. I pray to you to grant  Your divine helping grace, and endow Lance with patience and strength to endure these hardships with complete submission to Your Will. Only You know our misery and sufferings, and to You, our only hope and refuge, he flees for relief and comfort, trusting in Your infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when You know best, You will deliver him from this trouble, and turn his distress into comfort. We then shall rejoice in Your mercy, and exalt and praise Your Holy Name, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen

Pani, wow!  That was beautiful.  Thank you all so much.  Your prayers helped more than ya'll will ever know.  The situation is improving and it's not near as bad as I had thought.

Again, thank you all and Christ be with you.
