I have been a Catholic for almost nine years now.  My husband remained protestant.  Our children are being raised Catholic, and many priests have remarked that my husband attends mass more faithfully than many Catholics do.

He has finally started talking about RCIA classes!  I'm not sure if he's ready to join the Church or if he just wants to needle some poor priest!  But I'm praying that his heart will be in it.  Our son will be making his first communion in May.  I'm sure he would love to go to the altar with his daddy as he does with his mommy every Sunday.

Please pray that my husband will come home to the Catholic Church, and join his wife and children there!

Thank you!

Some of my best converts have been the spouses of Catholics who wanted to come to prove the Catholic Church wrong!  Let him needle away.  It's enough that he is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.

My brother-in-law attended mass with his family for more than 20 years before deciding he wanted to become Catholic, and he didn't even tell the family he was doing it.  My sister called very excited one day to tell us he was going to be baptized.  This was pre-RCIA so the baptism was done in a private ceremony on short notice, so unfortunately none of us were able to attend.

Your husband has opened a door by being interested in attending.  Leave the rest to God and your priest.

And we'll be praying with you.
