Hi guys

I am Neil, who is profoundly Deaf, and considering on becoming a Catholic at the moment.

I was shocked yesterday to learn that my lovely friend, who is the same age as me, and he is profoundly deaf. We are both 41. He suffered from a massive heart attack and now still unconscious in an intensive care unit at the hospital at the moment. It may be linked to his drinking problem or other health problem, so I cannot pinpoint the cause of his heart attack.

Please pray that God will shine His light into my friend's mind and heart and raise him up from unconsciousness. Many thanks, my dear brothers and sisters.

Love

Neil x

Hi guys

Many thanks for your prayers. The good news is that my friend have woken up fully after being unconscious for a few days!

But I think that my mate is not yet talking at the moment, as he may have been in a shock phase. Please pray that he will recover fully from his experience and get back to normal life.

Many thanks and God bless you!

Neil

Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your servant Neil's friend from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant him  patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your servant Neil's friend and grant to him  the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Rose, thank you for your beautiful prayer. I am sure that God is doing something amazing in my friend's health situation right now.

The last time I heard about my friend is that my friend started to sit up in a chair next to his bed, looking almost perky but a little confused. It's beleived that he may have a short-term memory loss, due to his heart attack. Some of my mates told me that he suffered three heart attacks, but they were quite worried for all of us.

Then recently, he got a bad reaction to some drugs used to help him remind calm; he just got really vomitted a lot. Poor guy, but he is coping very well. I remember visiting him recently and I was shocked to see him being poorly and confused. I was glad that he could remember me, thank the Lord. But I noticed that his legs and one of his arms were very jerky, so I assumed it must be a severe shock after getting these heart attacks.

I just heard through the grapevine that he will be transferred to a specialist rehabiliation department to help him recover the strength in his legs and also to help him regain confidence and co-ordination in his arms and legs. They said that he would need to be assessed for possible brain damage, but we don't know the outcome of that yet. I haven't seen him since I last visited him recently, as I have been very extremely busy with my family commitment and other commitments.

Please continue to pray for my friend's full recovery, guys. Remember God's love can only heal him spiritually and physically. Thanks, guys! ;)

Love

Neil xx
