I heard about this on the news today, and then looked it up online. One of the purposes of the Knights of Columbus is defending the faith. We can do in prayer more than physical actions.
So I have attached the file, as a prayer card.
I am really pleased to see that people are making use of this. Thanks.

I would add that I sent this to my parish and a request for the Knights of COlumbus to lead in a special prayer on the Feast of Christ the King. Perhaps others could promote the same group prayer before the Mass that day.

Great Idea Monti:
I'll send it to our secretary so she can forward it on.
I'f I can figure out how to send the prayer Card. Still learning how to accomplish computer things too. My son is away at college, he normally is my helper.
God Bless
Betty
Had to come back and correct it. Figured it out!
I sent it to my parish staff with your idea for the Knights on CTKing and a few Catholic Family & Friend's. Thank You
Betty

Please consider pointing out to your various Knights of Columbus councils that this is a major responsibility of the Knights, defending the Pope. I'm sure that they will take up the challenge. Some knights do not keep up on the news, so may not have heard of this special prayer emphasis. Considering the danger and the potential for good to be accomplished, this is a great opportunity.

Monti:
I just got an e-mail from our Parish Secretary. She said she was adding the prayer to all the masses.
Thank You for the Idea
Betty

Dear Stephen, (and all others who read this)
2 things, first is there a specific item of news as to when Baptists are praying for Pope Benedict? I see that you apparently are still involved with the ABC in Amherst, so is it them, are they having a specific called prayer service or just mention of the Pope in their regular list of prayer concerns?
The 2nd point, a more general observation, is that Baptists certainly should find Pope Benedict XVI appealing. When he was Cardinal Ratzinger, his work in defending the faith was admirable. When He has stood up for the truth about Jesus Christ, about the very fact that we Christians have been given THE TRUTH, wow!
As a Baptist I found the previous Pope, John Paull II, to also be very appealing for his Christian witness. Despite the Baptist "tradition" of anti-popishness which I would have been expected to follow, I heard this wonderful Polish priest step up and declare, "Be Not Afraid," and declare the need to pray, to trust God, etc.
Even more so with our present Holy Father. I saw a bumper sticker, "I Love My German Shepherd, Pope Benedict XVI."
This man stands boldly and declares his faith in Jesus Christ. And it send a thrill to my soul. To hear his voice is so calming and yet inspiring. Certainly he is a pastor to me and to all the world.
What appeals to Baptists and others in the Christian world is that here is a man of convictions who is not afraid to stand and live by them. When faced with heresy and sin, he calls it plain.
And here is a link to a series of articles in Christianity Today on these two Popes, John Paul II, and Benedict XVI.
