Hello all my CHNI Forums!

I first want to thank everyone for your prayers over the last few months. Thank you and God bless you.

This month has been the most challenging that we have yet experienced. As some of you know, I lost my job and we are a one income family and this devastated our ability to keep paying the rent. I was so happy to have people here offer their prayers and their help. This is what keeps us going.

When we lost our home a dear friend of ours had us move in with him. Things were going well and I started up a new janitorial service which has been very touch and go. Unfortunately our friend had a falling out with a family member of his and this family member started to call our friends landlord all hours of the night and day, we finally got a 30 day notice and have once again ended up without a place to live. We had a house all set up, but on the day we were to give the new landlord the rent money and depost, the new landlord decided to change his mind and now we have had to put all our stuff in storage and spend the last of our budget on a motel room.

The good side of this, we are out from under a very bad landlord who is very unethical and dis honest. This has taken away some of the stress and we know that God will help us.

Pray that we will be able to find a place or get the help we need to hold us over until the 15th of this month. In two days we are living in our van, so keep us in your prayers.

That's terrible. What a story. We must pray hard that you will be able to achieve a more stable income and residence. This is very tough. Thanks for sharing with us your difficulties and I sure do hope your situation improves so that there is some light at the end of the tunnel for you.

God bless you,

Dave

Psalms
Chapter 23

1
1 A psalm of David. 2 The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.
2
In green pastures you let me graze; to safe waters you lead me;
3
3 you restore my strength. You guide me along the right path for the sake of your name.
4
4 Even when I walk through a dark valley, I fear no harm for you are at my side; your rod and staff give me courage.
5
5 You set a table before me as my enemies watch; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
6 Only goodness and love will pursue me all the days of my life; I will dwell in the house of the LORD for years to come.

Dear Lord Jesus, please surround CatholicDan and his family with a perimeter of Your Love and Protection throughout the day today and everyday a hundred yards in all directions. Lord Jesus, render any demons that are there, or should try to come against him, deaf, dumb, and blind. Strip them of all weapons, illusions, armor, power, and authority. Disable them from communicating or interacting in any way. Bind, sever, and separate them, sending them directly to the foot of Your Cross without manifestation or harm to be dealt with by you Jesus. May Your Precious Blood cover the family, the Holy Spirit fill them , Mary's mantle of love and protection surround them, St. Joseph guide them, the Holy Angels and Saints guard and protect them from all unfortunate events. Protect them from fire, theft, flood, storms, ailments, and accidents of every sort, distress, hardship, curse, and all untoward things. I ask all this in your Name Lord Jesus and I thank and praise you. I love you. Alleluia. Amen!

I want to thank everyone for all of your prayers.

I don't know what God is doing in our lives right now but I trust God every minute of every day. I will admit that there are times that my patience and faith are being reeeeeelllly stretched and maybe that is what God is trying to do with me personally.

We are now in the process of making a very hard decision to either stay here in our town or move out of town to my parents place to start over again. The problem with this option is that we would have to drop RCIA completely due to the fact that the nearest church is like 50 miles away from where my parents house is ( they live in the mountains).

We have ran into a lot of obsticles and today the last of our finances are now gone. So today is D-Day for the Ramirez family and we will most likely be moving out of town so my son and my wife don't have to live in our van.

I do feel very frustrated due to the fact that I am supposed to be the one who provides for my family and it seems everywhere I turn I run into walls that I can't seem to break through. Because of my age and work experience employers are not very willing to hire because they feel that I would at some point expect them to pay me what I am getting used to being paid (exact quote from the last place I applied at).

I may not be on here for some time unless there is Internet readily available up where we are going.

Your prayers are very much appreciated and we want to thank everyone here of your prayers. We feel your prayers and they do work. We are not or will not ever give up on God because our God owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

One thing I do want to emphasize; those who are attending RCIA keep going! God will get us all through this and you will come out on the other side with the greatest peace and joy you have ever experienced.

peace to all your households,

Dan, Nora and family.

This may or may not help.  I just want to say that God has a wonderful sence of humor.  They may not seem like it now, but I promise he has something in mind for you that you can neither or imagine or understand right now.

To make this brief and try to encourage you.  We have been there, done that.  Many, many years ago, ended up on aid to dependent children(basically welfare and food stamps), a huge lawsuit against us, no jobs, no work for either of us and I was a sub with the Post Office, nothing in site!  Oh yeah, our youngest son was in the hosptial with pneumonia.  We were loosing everything.

On Holy Thursday, the job we thought my husband was going to get - as director for the Home for the Age withe Knights of St. George - well he got a call and they told him that as much as they wanted to hire him they could not, because the state had changed the requirements.  He had to be degreed in computers and management - he was an electrical/electronic engineer, that had managed a huge industrial firm.  He had been recomened by two senators and a ceo of a company you would recognize.  They really wanted him, but couldn't hire him.

We lived in Steubenville, Oh.  I got a call the next day - Good Friday - from the Post Office in Birmingham Al asking that I would transfer and go full time.  The PO doesn't transfer rural carriers (if they do it is an odd process) especially subs.

Well jump forward 20+ years, my husband is now working at St. Georges, only he is a deacon!  It's not the St. George we thought he would be working with.  But, who would have ever 'thunk it'.

Be at peace and go with God!

{{Dan & Family}}  Do what you need to do to take care of your family at this time.  God will understand, and he will not abandon you.

Peace and prayers for you,
Ali

Lord of the Powers be with Dan and his family, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on us.
