I just spent almost all of the last hour and 15 minutes IMing with a friend of mine, essentially doing apologetics, mostly about Confession. At the end, he said "this was a blast" after saying "no way" when I said I hoped I wasn't boring him. It looks like (at his insistence) the conversation will be continued Friday/Saturday when I get back from vacation. I've also probably convinced him to borrow my copy of The four Witnesses. He thinks the notion of finding out what early Christians believed is very cool and quite interesting. (And yet, we argued for so long about whether or not John 20:19-23 had Jesus saying that the disciples shouldn't hold grudges or whether He was giving them the power to forgive sins...)

Anyway, he needs your prayers. He's not a scholar (though he's not averse to becoming one), and more an athlete than a super-intellectual, but his heart's in the right place and his soul might just be getting there, too. :praying:

ad majorem Dei gloriam.

H1,

I am delighted that you have the joy of a receptive friend. So far, none of my Protestant relatives or friends are receptive.

I'll be praying that he keeps the door open.

God bless,
Becky

Glory to God!  Pour forth your wisdom Lord, place you words on his tongue, that his friend will see YOUR truth Jesus in all things.
