Many, many moons ago, way, way, way back in the day on March 24, 1951, my twin brother George Martin Buckles (member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bristol, Virginia) and I (Ernest Marshall Buckles - I have our earthly father's first and last names) were born at King's Mountain Hospital in Bristol, Virginia. Martin was born at around 1:00 AM and I was born about ten minutes later. To this day, it usually takes me at least ten minutes to wake up after the alarm goes off - and sometimes I hit the "snooze button" three times in honor of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, ha, ha! We were about a month premature and I weighed only about 3 pounds and had to be kept in a incubator for a while. I have since increased exponentially, ha, ha! That day, March 24, 1951, was "Holy Saturday" and the next day was Easter Day that year. I actually did not realize this until many years later when I happened to be doing some research in a newspaper about that time, wondering what was happening in the world on my birthday, and was started to learn that we were born on Easter weekend that year. I asked Mom why she never told us and she said that she had forgotten it, she said that she was kind of "tired and more or less groggy and out of it at the time", ha, ha, so it kind of slipped her mind! Anyway, this year, Easter coming near my birthday as it has, I was reminded of all that.
As for my reason for writing this, I would be grateful if you all might kindly remember my brother Martin and me in prayer for God's continued blessings. Please pray that God will continue to help me to be the best husband to my wife Sandra and Daddy to our daughter Beth as I can possibly be. Please ask the Lord to grant me better health and allow and help me to find ways to serve him, in addition to being a loving husband and father, for the remainder of my life here upon earth. Thank you for your kind prayers and know that I pray for God's richest blessings upon all of you! Respectfully, Marshall

Marshall, I somehow missed this post! A very happy birthday to you and your brother! Do you guys look alike or are you the other kind of twins? Can't remember the designation for each kind. Fraternal? Maternal?
Lord, we all need Marshall to be around for a long, long time. Please grant him good health and marital and parental wisdom as he continues in the ministries you've placed him in within his home. And please guide him as he faces many challenges in his faith. May he see the way you are setting up for him, and may he walk strongly in it. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.
