He missed Easter Mass yesterday morning, didn't feel well Saturday, and I knew this morning when he was to sick to go to work he needed help.

They ran all kinds of tests on him, and other than finding out he was dehydrated, have no idea what is causing his throat and ears and head to hurt so bad.

They are keeping him overnight (at least).  Hopefully something comes back, or the super strong antibiotics work their magic.

Hi Ali:waving:
Having paid a visit overnight to our local ER last night myself, I can empathize with you. My prayers for your DH and you. I know my wife was more concerned than me and I suspect you have had a few anxious minutes yourself.
God is with you and your hubbie.

God bless you. I'll say a Hail Mary for him.

Rich

Ali, God bless you and your dh, and children.  Hope his health will be found to be good, and he will be back home pronto.  Sorry he missed Easter mass.  How did it go with the children?  Did they go to the Sat. vigil of Sunday mass?  God bless

Ali, I am sorry you had a time of it over Easter.  I was offline for the Easter Triduum. Praying all things turn out well for DH.

Continued good wishes for a Happy Easter Season!

Having paid a visit overnight to our local ER last night myself, I can empathize with you.

Rich, may all things be well with you and yours also.

God's peace.

We're lifting up your husband and the family in prayer. Please keep us posted, Ali. I'm sure people are concerned and are wondering what happened.

UPDATE -- They still haven't "named" what's ailing him, except to rule most stuff out. No strep, no flu, negative chest/sinus x-rays.

His throat was swollen, and hurt up into his ears. He couldn't swallow and hadn't eaten since lunch on Saturday. He's coughing up all sorts of yummy stuff :P Not so much now, but still a lot. They could say for certain that he was dehydrated, so lots of IV fluids, with some IV abx as well.

He is doing better today, though very weak and light headed. He's coughing more, because it doesn't hurt so bad. They pain in his ears isn't as bad, but his throat does still hurt. Just not as much.

{sigh} It's been a rough couple of days. Q is having a very hard time, too. Night terrors three nights in a row, and waking up hourly. Just very disruptive sleep in general. Not totally connected to dh, as it started before I took him in, but it definately isn't helping any, that's for sure.

Thanks for all your prayers.

May God bless your family and draw you close to Him. May He comfort you during this time of anxiety and shield you in the armor of His love.

Hello Ali. I'll keep praying for you and hubby. Uncertainty is always a trial to bear. As for me, after all my tests, It's been confirmed I have a minor atrial fibrilation. That's not news to me. I've had to put up with it for years. It's just now that it's decided to act up for a bit. Fortunately, the docs aren't worried and as long as I lose weight and take care of myself, I can live with the flutter.
I guess that's why I'm a romantic. My heart's all a flutter. :P:embarrassed::roflmho:
