My pastor had taken a couple of days off after Easter and was due back today, but instead we learned he was admitted to an out of state hospital. He is in good condition and will probably make a full recovery, but please remember Fr. Guy Zeringue in your prayers. (Pronounced zuh-RANG, as every good Cajun knows).
This is busy week in our parish, with a funeral tomorrow (59-year old father who died suddenly, please pray for him and his family too) and weddings Friday night and Saturday morning, along with the weekend masses. With all the server problems I've been having, I'll also be conducting the rehearsals and assisting with the weddings, and am sacristan and organist for the weekend masses, so don't be surprised if you don't see much of me around here for the next few days. Thank God for staff moderators!

I will be praying for your intentions. By the way a Podiatrist that I went to has the same name as your pastor.
YBIC,
Bill

There's a pediatrician and a dentist here with the same names, too.

Is that Zeringue as in meringue?!
I will pray for your pastor's recovery and regaining of his strength. Also for you and your parish as you cope without your pastor for a few days. And Divine Mercy Sunday coming up. Whew!

| Almighty God, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, heal Fr. Zeringue, come to Rick's help and deliver them from this difficulty that besetsing Rick and the parish. I believe Lord, that all trials of life are under Your care and that all things work for the good of those who love You. Take away from fear, anxiety and distress. Helpthem to face and endure difficulty with faith, courage and wisdom. Grant that this trial may bring them closer to You for You are their rock and refuge, comfort and hope, delight and joy. Rick trusts in Your love and compassion, renew his strength. Blessed is Your name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
