A student at our college, Tyshawn Bierria, was repeatedly stabbed early Sunday morning. Tyshawn was a bright young man from Harlem. His mother is a pastor at a church there. This happened on campus at about 4:30 am. Four young men, all from the city, only one a student were charged with gang assault and second degree attempted murder. Other arrests are pending. The student arrested was a roommate of one of my advisees.
Tyshawn was declared brain dead earlier today. His family is donating his organs that he may, in some fashion, live on. So now it is murder.
Please join myself and the SUNY Delhi campus in praying for this family and the soul of this young man.
Thanks
Willis

Willis,
You--and everyone associted with Tyshawn Bierria--especially his family, have my, and everyone (who's learned of this tragedy) within the Forum family's prayers and deepest sympathy. It's moments like this when Satan works his hardest to instill doubts in our minds, hearts and souls ... when he wants us to call into question everything we hope for in ourselves and also especially for others ... only to see these dreams get so violently snatched away. But it's also moments like this when our prayers are most desperately needed, offered and listened to.
Take heart knowing this young man's death will not be in vain. God won't allow it to happen.
Steven

Wisdom 4:
2 He who pleased God was loved; he who lived among sinners was transported--3 4 Fearful shall they come, at the counting up of their sins, and their lawless deeds shall convict them to their face. For the young man may his Memory be Eternal+
For the family, the church, and friends
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
