I'm just beginning to realize how many priests I'm going to know by the time I'm graduated from college! At any rate, with the coming of summer, we have a lot of ordinations coming up and I was hoping you guys could join me in keeping these young men in your prayers.
This year's deacon class will have 36 ordinations to the priesthood; all occuring between the end of May and first two weeks of June. Please pray especially for:
Deacon Neil (he has faithfully served as our transitional deacon at the college)-- Ordination is Saturday, May 31, 2008. Atlanta, Georgia
Deacon Freddie (he's been my softball chaplain)-- Ordination is Saturday, June 7th, 2008. Worcester, MA.
Deacon Geoff
Deacon John
We also have a large class of third-year theologians who will be ordained to the deaconate this summer. This class has been particularly special to me, as I know quite a few of them really well. Please pray especially for: Tim, Clinton, Omar, Scott, Daniel, and Andrew.
So there's quite a bit to be going on with! It's all so exciting, to see these young men grow in their formation. I've been blessed to see their calls to candidacy and such. Now the deacons will become priests and begin serving in their respective dioceses. And our third-years will come back as deacons. Really awesome.
Keep these men in your prayers!

Glory to God!
Heavenly Father,
since the time of the Apostles
you have inspired the Church
to commission certain members
to assist in a special way
in the pastoral mission of Christ.
Bless the deacons
and all other ordained
and non-ordained ministers
that they may be humble
and faith-inspired in their service.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
