| Please pray for my husband who was told this morning he may have skin cancer. A biopsy was done near one of his eyes, and we won't know for two weeks if it is positive, but the doctor said it looked like cancer. We are a little stunned right now. Please pray for a good report, strength and courage and hope, and freedom from anxiety. Thanks and God bless

Praying for his healing! By way of encouragement, I have heard of many people being totally cured of skin cancer. May God bless you two and heal your husband!

| If it is a basal cell carcinoma, chances are very good it will be cured with a little surgery. Melanomas are a little more problematic but are much rarer. Most skin cancers are of the basal cell carcinoma variety and occur on the face due to sun exposure in we persons of the pale persuasion.

Marsha, I will pray. I had a basal cell cancer removed from my face and expect to have others removed in the future. My father's bald head and forehead were covered with such spots because he didn't protect himself with a hat. Everything went fine.
Nevertheless, I'm sure the location near the eye causes you some concern.
Keep us posted. I will remember him in Mass tomorrow morning and also during Adoration at the shrine.
May the Lord comfort you both.
Becky

| I'll pray for the wisdom of modern medicine or for a supernatural healing, Marsha. Cancer treatment has advanced in many ways in recent years.

| Thank you all for remembering him in prayer. The mind has a way of taking such news and running off into all sorts of speculation, my mind especially. However, he is getting the stitches removed one day early so we can still make the EWTN trip, and he has a good outlook. So the prayers are being answered already! Praise God

Marsha, I tried posting a prayer response for your earlier and oops, I might've used my working, but sometimes forgetful, hand I had skin cancer removed from nine years ago.
I'm praying all will be well for your husband and it's not serious. My sister in law survived melanoma. Her faith did wonders for her healing.

{{Marsha}} Praying for the best. I know the word cancer is loaded always scary, but there are so many different types and ways of treating now that doesn't have to be scary. Many people have skin tags removed and go on for years with no other problems. My granddad was one of them.
All my best for your trip!!

Know that you both are in my prayers. Remember - God already has this figured out!

| Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement. The doctor says it was a basal cell(?) and he feels confident he got all of it, so there will be no further treatment, praise God. My dh will have to get an all-over checkup to be sure there are no others lurking around, and of course use sun screen from now on. Having an incident like this sure puts everything in your life into a priority list. Some things we worry and stress out about just aren't that important after all. Some things, like doing our best to be in a state of grace and to do our best to please the Lord, are at the top.
