Greetings from Biloxi,

I would like to request your prayers of thanksgiving for my wife Erma. Below are the details of the week for us.

I've been away from this new computer since Sunday of last week. Ms. Erma has been having health issues all year, but Sunday they took a turn for the worse. She noticed some blood in her stool and had flashbacks of 2005 when the doctors discovered colon cancer. She was admitted to Biloxi Regional on Monday for blood work and test. Her blood hemogloban dropped to 8:0, 13 is normal, so they gave her a pint of blood on Tuesday morning. The week was spent in the hospital dreading the return of the colon cancer.

An upper G.I. did not reveal anything so a lower G.I. was scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 p.m. At. 12:30 p.m. on Thursday a Eucharistic minister from Sacred Heart in D'Iberville showed up to give her communion. What followed surprised both of us. He spent the next 20 minutes conducting a complete Communion Service! After communion he laid hands on her while asking her "do you believe the Holy Spirit has the ability to heal you?" She said yes with a glimmer in her eye. Then he started to sing and dance right in front of us. He told her she would be dancing later the same day! Just before departing he threw her a huge kiss from the door and disappeared in a flash.

A few minutes later the orderly showed up with her ride to the surgery department. That was 1:00 p.m. I knew the proceedure would take about an hour so I expected her back around 3:00 p.m at the latest. After the hour of mercy passed I started to worry. Did they find cancer? Did they have to perform emergency surgery to deal with any tumors? She did loose a pint of blood this week and there was blood in her stool even at the hospital.

I found her rolling down the hall around 3:50 p.m. They had her in line for the proceedure with many folks ahead of her. She had to wait 2 hours! The results? The doctor doing the colonopscopy found nothing other than her hemroids and diverticulitus. Her previous colon resectioning surgery looked good and he did not have any answers about the loss of a pint of blood or the blood in her stool. Her response to the news?

            THANK YOU SWEET JESUS!

She did not dance after retuning to her room, but the glow on her face told me she felt like doing just that!

Thank you one and all for your prayers this week. I'm looking forward to at least another 10 years with her now. Her own doctor is amazed at the test results for both G.I. series test and does not have an explanation for the blood loss. Of course we know better.

Praise God, Norm! That's an amazing story. God is still in the healing business.

I've mentioned here before that it seems that my father has had some sort of healing for lung cancer. The tumor simply stopped growing, or is even shrinking, which doesn't usually happen. He's had about five scans now that confirmed it.

I'd like to request prayers of the forum, however, for my sister, Judy (for a fairly serious medical and marital matter best kept private). Thanks!

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Norm and his family, and thank you for this wonderful news, and continued healing for his wife.
