Hello all,

My name is Andrew. I have been a big fan of the Journey Home since before I became Catholic (2 years ago). I began investigating the faith when I was a sophomore in high school and a year after that I became Catholic, in the Latin Church, in April of 2007. Since then I have been attending a Maronite Church and I believe I have a vocation to the priesthood in the Maronite Catholic Church. I hope, God willing, to enter Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Seminary in D.C. in two years.

My conversion story can be found on my website, which is an apologetics/catechetical outreach for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. http://stpio-soe.org/andrews_story.html

Currently I'm 19 and I am absolutely still in love with the faith. A fellow parishioner and I do street evangelism, and I've begun altar serving at my parish. If anyone has conversion stories or would like to help out with my website in anyway, I would be more than willing to accept your help. It's hard being a 19 year old with a job, starting college soon trying to run a website and share the Holy Catholic Church with others.

Enough rambling from me. Please let me know what you think of my story, and if it's worthy to get me on the Journey Home. j/k :D

Alaha minokhoun,
Andrew

Welcome, Andrew! How delightful to begin the day with your post.

I will include your discernment process in my Mass intentions this morning.

May Mary lead you.

Welcome to the forum Andrew! It's good to have you here!
I thought I would let you know that the Coming Home Network has a youth network called Quo Vadis that you might want to check out. The website is http://www.quovadisyouth.org, we also have a facebook group, weekly chats (on hold for the summer, they will resume in the fall), monthly e-newsletters, a place on this forum and we also pair youth on the journey to Catholicism with a young person who is already Catholic to help them with their questions and struggles.
Let me know if this might be something you're interested in.
God bless,

Welcome Andrew!

I am nearly your neighbor, living on the other side of Bedford from you. I am acquainted with a family from St Elias and have heard nothing but good things about it. I am so glad to find other converts in my area.

Andrew, :waving:

Welcome Home!  I am excited for you--being so young, and making your way HOME to the Catholic Church.  God will continue to bless you as you seek to serve only Him.  What a marvelous thing to have your whole life ahead of you--at His service!  Submit to Him in everything.  Trust Him totally.  Walk by Faith, not by sight.  He is good and merciful, and His grace and love will be more than sufficient for you.  I promise you the favor of my prayers.

Michael

Welcome to the forum Andrew. Apparently St Ignatous had a huge effect on you, as he also did on me. If your Latin church is drifting from orthodoxy I suggest you so inform the bishop as it his responsibility to maintain the purity of faith and doctrine in his diocese. God bless you.

:) Welcome to the Forum Andrew. I've haven't caught up with all my backlog of unread things but I'm looking forward to reading your conversion story.

You'll find a lot of support here and though the moderators haven't figured a way to get coffee served through the wires, they do a great job of keeping us stimulated nonetheless.

God Bless you and looking forward to reading your posts.

Steven

Andrew -

Your story is really absorbing, and you are an excellent storyteller.  I'm thrilled to hear that you might become a priest - your dedication to the church is a gift that we all will benefit from, particularly as we get to know you better.

Marcee
