I've been on the journey now for about 10 years. It has been a long while since I've been on this site or even looked at anything "Catholic" as I am attending a fundamentalist Independent Baptist Church since about a year ago. But about a week ago, I recalled reading about St Teresa's Interior Castle and thought to look it up on the web and read it. I love my baptist church and there are people who really love Jesus.
But there is something missing - and I found it in the pages of Interior Castle. What depth! The Sun is always there at the center of our "castle" but his light is covered up by a thick black cloth of our distractions in the world. I go there now and am discovering wonderful things as I enter the mansions therein.
Pax Vobiscum,
Don

May I also suggest The Story of a Soul by St. Therese of Lisieux

Keep movin' in that direction Don. Welcome to the path to the Tiber. I too am on the road, maybe a bit closer than you. I've been investigating this for a few years now and am inching closer and closer. Start reading the writings of the church fathers and it will blow your mine as it has mine. I think right now my biggest hurdle is the cost it will be for me to make the big move. I know, my friends on this site will witness to the fact the cost is worth it. Get to know Rick, Dave and the gang of thieves here. This is a friendly site. (I haven't seen a flamer yet) Watch Marcus Grodi's Journey Home of EWTN if you can get it. Otherwise, download the program on your computer via Itunes and listen. You'll hear testimonies of tons of converts from Protestantism. Read David Armstrong's books and articles from his website. They have been most helpful to me. Stick around and get to know us.
We don't inject venom here.
