I have a good friend- heck, she's my best friend- we used to practise wicca together for cryin' out loud. I've been praying for her for years and in the past few months, she's really heeding God's call in her life. She has started going to church (a Presbyterian church) and is loving it. She is also reading her bible every day and watching a ton of Christian tv. I know this is a double edged sword but I'm THRILLED that she is going in the right general direction.
She is hungry for Christ in a big way. She is a big history buff and wants to know more about EVERYTHING. I would like to get her a good history book of the Church- truthful, no rose coloured glasses, but not a Protestant slant, of course.
She is very intelligent but not schooled (same as myself) so nothing TOO hard core scholarly but well written, exciting, and thought-provoking. Also, a good explanation of the early church fathers and also the protest and all the splintering that happened afterwards would be good.
She is still open to many Catholic ideas right now (although she says she disagrees with the Catholic church) so I want to help implant Catholic truths in her while she is still impressionable and open to it.
So, I need some recommendations!

Paula, THE man with all the info you need is Dave Armstrong. Give him a private message and I'm sure he'll be delighted to get you and your friends started off in the right direction.
By the way, welcome aboard. I see you posted 42 times before, but this is the first I've seen.
God Bless you on your journey homeward!
