I haven't read or seen anything about this, but is their a website, group, or fellowship for Catholic ex-Mormons?

On a recent Journey Home a gentleman named Tom Cabeen talked about an online site or fellowship that supports former Jehovah's Witnesses who have come into the Catholic Church or even those who have left the Witnesses and are struggling.

I firmly believe that such a resource for former Mormons would prove most helpful.

The transition can be very difficult on many levels and can differ quite a bit from the  conversions of  Protestants to Catholicism, especially for lifelong or nealy lifelong active members.

Like th JW the LDS often become agnostic when they leave the Mormon Church.

Thank you for your very extensive list of materials. I am familiar with much of it, but there was some new material.

I have corresponded with Steve Clifford. He lives in the next county and our men's group is having a retreat right where he lives. I'm hoping to meet him.

I  heard Isaiah Bennett speak when he was a Mormon. Interesting.

Perhaps I will find the support I'm look for among these many resources.

Thanks again.

You know, Pioneer, if there is a need and you see it, perhaps you can start a support group yourself ;-)

All great ideas start somewhere!

Pax,

Ruth

You're welcome, Bob. It was good to compile such a list, and I also put it on my blog. I plan on doing a similar one for JWs too.

Well my favorites list just expanded  considerably - thanks Dave - we are currently doing the Bible Timeline  bible study and believe it or not we have two Mormon missionaries attending rather frequently.

Thank you Ave_Girl.

Did you know that the beautiful picture you have of Jesus, the child, and the butterfly was painted by a Mormon artist?

Not that it makes any difference. Beautiful art is beautiful art.

We have one of Greg Olsen's paintings in our home. It portrays Jesus carrying a small child and helping another child over a rocky rushing river. It is called "Be Not Afraid."

Art and music have always touched my heart in a special way The painting actually was one of many helps to me in overcoming my fears concerning conversion.
