I highly recommend the parish web site of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune, Mississippi.  It's one of the best Catholic resource sites I've found on the web.

The site includes the best online version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church I've used, including a full search engine (which most online versions do not have).

It also includes two books:  Glad You Asked which is a 127 page collection of questions asked by parishioners, and The Truth which is an 80-page reference on the history of the Catholic Church, including timelines on the books of scripture, major heresies, significant Church history, Church councils, popes, major doctrines, and a whole lot more.  Both books may be purchased at very reasonable prices, read online, or downloaded as PDF files and printed for free.

Other sections include Church documents, point papers on various apologetics topics, a three-year online bible study (Lectionary based), an extensive and well organized index of saints, prayers, a virtual Way of the Cross, and a great deal more, as well as the types of things you would normally find at a parish web site such as mass schedules.

Obviously, this parish has made its web site a primary focus of their ministry, and the effort has paid off.  Because of content, organization, and fidelity to the Magisterium, I would have to say this is one of the best Catholic sites I've found.  Other sites such as the Vatican and EWTN, offer larger collections of Church documents, less popular devotions, and complete writings of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, but the St. Charles Borromeo site has just about everything the average Catholic or seeker could ask for and is organized in such a way that they are extremely easy to find, and the other sites are still available for detailed study.

Rick!  It took me forever, but I finally took a look at this sight.  What a treasure!  Makes me wish that I lived in the South.  Thank you for posting the link.

I have some friends who drive up to Picayune several times a year, and they tell me the parish is every bit as dynamic as the web site!

Rick,

Doesn't one of our CH members belong to this parish?

We have two forum members who have identified their location as Mississippi, and both are from Oxford.  If there are any from Picayune, they don't have their location in their profile.  Then again, fewer than half have entered even the country where they are located, so there's no way to tell.
