Many forum members have commented from time to time how hard it is to tell whether a site is a reliable source of Catholic information.  There is a way to tell.

CatholicCulture rates sites on their fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church.  Sites are rated Green (Excellent), Yellow (Caution) or Red (Danger).  The Coming Home Network, which earns a Green rating, is reviewed here.  It was first reviewed on 12/29/1998, and the review was last updated on 9/20/2006.

Visitors to the CatholicCulture site can request a review or an update of any site that purports itself to be Catholic in nature, so if you discover a site that CC doesn't list, you can request that it be reviewed.

The site also contains significant useful information, such as the complete theology collection of 230 works by Fr. William Most.  Also of interest is a large collection of recipes and activities tied to liturgical feasts around the world that should be of interest to catechists and homeschooling parents.

This is a good site to bookmark and include in your favorites.

Might I point out that the Catholic Culture website, like most Catholic entities, is supported almost entirely by donations. The Coming Home Network apostolate works the same way.

If you find a particular site or apostolate beneficial, and you think its continued its presence on the internet would be worthwhile, the best way to assure that it will be around when you or someone else needs its presence and resources is to donate to its upkeep.

Those were some very interesting reviews. I was able to check out a site I used to frequent before my husband directed me to this one. I loved the definition of the day. Glad it checked out green.

I must say I was shocked about the site where you typed in confessions and a radio personality published them.
