Hello.
Has anyone been a volunteer at Lourdes before?
I really would love to do this for a week! And am sending in for an application packet.
Was wondering if per chance, anyone has done this? thought about it? knows someone who did?

| I would sure like to go there some day; also Rome, Fatima and our own National Shrine.

ME too! I think it would be so neat to be a volunteer at Lourdes too. You sleep in dorms with other men/women, and it would be a marvelous chance to take our eyes off ourselves and help others. My heart has been yearning to do this for the longest time, and I pray if it's the Lord's will, it will come to be, and He'll provide the funds for it as well.
I've travelled to Europe many times in my life, but never to Lourdes or Fatima. As a Catholic, this would be so wonderful to go to these sites of such great mystery.
The last time I was in Rome was 30 years ago. This is the first place I'd go on a family vacation if money were no object. One day soon, Lord Willing. Oh the art there is simply mezmerizing.
Here's the site BodRod for volunteering at Lourdes in case you and anyone would like to check it out.

Blessings~

| my daughter has attended as a volunteer for the last 2 years and is off this year, as a 14 year old she found the experience a great affirmation of her faith - now she describes it as her duty

Thanks for the link Connie. We were just talking about it the other nite.
Jacki that is awesome!
Our daughter has a desire to volunteer their also. She is a massage therapist, and would love to be able to help those making the journey.
