Kate,

To me it is really quite simple and refuse to debate this topic beyond this.
There is a simple message of redemption in the Word that helps me to put all things into his perspective and priority......

The thief on the cross is drawn to the Love of Jesus by Spirit of God.
This Love awakens a Hope within his being.
His new found hope promotes Faith toward Repentance, Salvation and Justification in Christ..

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Mark 10:15 (Jesus said) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

All the other stuff in both camps, Catholic and her daughter Protestant may be good..........................
