Please provide empirical evidence for the existence of Dave Armstong to substantiate your claim.

I post, therefore I am (???). If this ain't me typin' this, who is? That's empirical evidence enuff for me . . .

You must've spent hours on this. :P

I spent hours tryin' to find sola Scriptura in Scripture and failed miserably in that task. It's not just a joke to say that, either; this is lterally true if you consider that I have debated many people who tried to defend the notion and in answering them and examining their supposed prooftexts it was affirmed again for me that this concept is simply not in Holy Scripture.

Nice. Definitely one of your most easily understood research papers!

Thanks! I tried not to use too many big words in it.

Sola Scriptura is a bit like an onion: you keep peeling and peeling and then discover that there is no core . . .

Dave, you are a hoot!!! I'll buy ten copies of THIS paper!!!

Cool! I'll be sure to give you a bargain rate for quantity purchase! ;)

Seriously, though, for anyone wanting to delve deeply into the debate (which is central to almost all Catholic-Protestant discourse), I have a lot of material on three web pages. I've written more about the relationship of Bible and Tradition and Church than anything else in my apologetics:

The Bible, Church, Tradition, & Canon

The Bible: Sola Scriptura

The Church (Ecclesiology)
