Your temptations are from the devil and from Hell; but your sufferings and afflictions are from God and Heaven.

Do not fear.  Jesus is more powerful than all Hell.  At the invocation of His name every knee in Heaven, on earth and in hell must bend before Jesus.  This is the consolation of the good and terror of the evil ones.

It is not a sin to have impure thoughts.  Dispelling them is an excercise of virtue.

The devil is like a rabid dog tied to a chain; beyond the length of the chain he cannot seize anyone.  And you:  Keep at a distance.  If you approach too near, you let yourself be caught.  Remember that the devil has only one door by which to enter the soul:  The will.  There are no secret or hidden doors.

               Padre Pio

RC:

Thank You for sharing that Quote from Padre Pio.  It hit home today and felt as though it was meant for me.

Thank You

You are quite welcome.  I love Padre Pio.  You should read about him.

Thanks RCWarrior,

I love Padre Pio too.  I watched a documentary on him on EWTN (of course).  Is there a biography written about his life and if so, which is a good one?

Th one I love is called "Padre Pio, Stigmatist", there are 3 other ones also.  I have them but they are way down the other end of the house.  Any one will do.  I couldn't believe what this man was Blessed with from God.

Incredible story.  If you live near a Catholic book store, that is the best place to go because they have several.
