Sometimes when I drink from the chalice I can feel extra wine or moisture on my lips as I am on my way back to my seat. I usually try to suck it in or absorb it somehow in my mouth. Today I accidentally sort of wiped my mouth with my hand after drinking. I was not even thinking, it was just sort of instinctual because I often do that if it were something else. Now I was taking this very seriously and was sad that I may have made this mistake if it was  mistake. I tried to sort of suck up from my hand any remaining moisture or wine though I do not think I felt any at that point.

Is it normal to feel some on your lips after dirinking it and should we just try our best to get it all in and not worry about it too much? Was what I did today a mistake or no big deal since I drank all that I could and just wiped off and absorbed what was extra that did not get in my mouth?

If it was the most delicious thing you'd ever tasted, and cost you $10,000 a drop, how would you handle it?

That's how you should handle the Precious Blood.  Do your best to sip it, minimize the amount that stays on your lips.  I usually lick my lips after, as I would with the world's finest, most expensive wine.

I normally do, but today I made a mistake. Was it a sin? And if so could it be serious because it has to do with something holy being profaned, or being that my intentions were good my conscious will had not acted and therfore there is no sin?

Ironically this happened on the first day I tried to receive the host in my mouth because I wanted to see if it fostered greater reverence not being able to touch it or would help me see it in a holy light.

My impression is it's a mistake and not a sin. Your intentions were fine. It's just that your instinct kicked in. Don't beat yourself up over it.

I agree.  It is not something to be overly concerned about as it was not a deliberate act.

I got the last drop on Tuesday morning, my birthaday, kind of like the Lord saying, "there's enough for you my child!"

One time ,on line for the Eucharist, the person in front of me dropped  the Eucharist , so the Eucharist that felli was put aside, I asked for the  one that fell on the ground,I felt it was my duty somehow.I was worried  that it would get thrown away or something.

The Eucharist is never thrown away.  It is allowed to dissolve in water until it loses the consistency of bread, and is then poured down a special sink called the sacrarium, or the water is poured to ground.  The Eucharist is always handled respectfully.

It is proper to consume the host as long as no one has stepped on it.  As an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, if I see someone drop the host and know that it has not been stepped on, I will consume it myself.

Edited to fix link.
