Well I went to confession for the first time since I was a child- The priest was late ( and veryapologetic), I was flustered and don't speak well until I get to know people well so panicked and could only stutter my way through the Anglican prayer of repentance rather than the act of contrition which I thought that I knew ( and could say word for word at home) I have to admit that as i left his ofice for the chapel to say my penance prayers i felt kind of unchanged and let down but as I was reciting the Our father, the Glory be and hail Marys a feeling of peace and cleansing washed over me and I left floating ten feet off the ground. Hopefully in future things will go better from the first. I know that many people only go onnce a year but my neighbour and her family go every two months ( or sooner) and I plan on following the same practice

Pope John Paul II recommended monthly confession if we don't have any mortal sins.  He went to confession daily.  So did Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

Oh, my.  Can you imagine both of these saintly people going to confession daily, and us thinking yearly is enough?

One of the many reasons Blessed Teresa has already been beatified, John Paul's beatification is immanent, and you and I will most likely never be considered for sainthood.

Wow!  Why don't you start a new topic in Fellowship Hall or in Mary and the Saints and tell us all about it!  You can tell us about living in Bangladesh, too.
