Generally speaking, anything you get like that in the mail is not blessed and therefore does not need to be treated as a sacramental. Something I often do with the nicer items is give them away. Leaflets, booklets, prayer cards and rosaries I will sometimes set out on the customer counter where I work. On the busier days they disappear fast. People around here are mostly Hispanics, mostly Catholic, and mostly appreciative of such articles. Sometimes they even take the articles later to be blessed.

On days when my aches and pains seem more significant, I think about what will happen to my religious items after I no longer need them. I think now, that I will give directions to the kids to take them to the church where they can be given to other believers.
