I just tried a Google Search using. "Catholic Church in <name of town>,<name of state>" and it came up with all the churches in that town.

I usually use the diocesan web sites to find local churches, as they are likely to be the most up to date.  You can find all of the dioceses in the United States at the USCCB web site.

Another alternative is MassTimes.  It is only as current as the parish keeps it, so a parish without an active Internet ministry may not be listed or may not be current.  I would always follow a MassTimes check with either a phone call or a visit to the diocesan web site to make sure the information is current.  Still, MassTimes can be an excellent resource.

A list of Eastern Catholic parishes is available from ByzCath.
