The following Penguin Parable is copyright 2007 by Marti Wilson.

It was originally posted on Catholic Pillar and Foundation, and is reposted with permission.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Twenty-one penguins were rescued on a hot east Texas highway on Tuesday after a truck carrying the wildlife to a temporary home south of Houston overturned, said a state trooper.

Four penguins and some exotic fish were killed in the accident, including three penguins that were hit by passing motorists, said Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Richard Buchanan. “The rest of the penguins kind of stayed together in the ditch.”

The ones that stayed together have life. The ones that strayed and followed their own ideas . . . .

I just discovered this forum.  It's very interesting.  It reminds me of the vision that St. John Bosco had of the ships sailing into heaven.  I think the ships represented different churches sailing to heaven.  You can do a google search of: "St. John Bosco's vision."  Here are two sites.
