I think that's his name. I saw a snippet of him on the march for life broadcast and fell in love with the fact that he loves other people to have life. I'm ready to vote for him already! But, does anyone know anything about what else he stands for?
Thanks-MMB
PS- And what about Clinton?

Sen. Sam Brownback is a Catholic convert from an evangelical background, and he has been endorsed by Fr. Frank Pavone, head of Priests for Life. His record is 100% pro-life. Unfortunately, he has not released much else of his platform at this time. His campaign website is available here, and his Senate website is here.
PS- And what about Clinton?
I know she won't get my vote.

| Grrrrrr, don't get me started on her! She is so disrespectful of stay at home Moms, talking like we are wasting our lives. I happen to think supervising the moral, intellectual, and physical devlopment of potential future leaders of the next generation is a pretty demanding vocation. Besides I am not going to drop dead the minute me kids grow up(at least I hope not) and if I decide a carreer is important, I am sure I can spend many years teaching then. I told my husband if she became president, we were moving out of the county.

Alec Baldwin said in 2000 that if George Bush was elected, he was going to leave the country. I'm still waiting.

OK, I will admit I doubt I would be able to afford to move out of the country, unlike Alec Baldwin. But my husband's employer has plants in other parts of the world so I could at least look into it. Maybe a rich Catholic philanthropist would like to buy my family a villa somewhere
I just don't want to be forced to put my kids in public school at age 3 "for their own good" My state has announced it is their intention of starting to have kids in all day school at that age. So often in the past, these "opportunities" end up mandatory laws. Home schoolers are making a great deal of legal progress in my state in spite of many public school systems trying to thwart parents. (remember families with more than 3 kids are "at risk" and need to be montiored by the state) I see so many things in the news that scare me to death in this regard. I read a recent news article saying that the best way to help American families was to help them pay for daycare so parents could work more. No one even considers a tax break for families so one parent could stay home with the kids. As a protestant, I knew almost no one who stayed home with their kids and most protestant churchs of any size run day cares, subsidized by the state, to facilitate this. In the political realm I often feel caught between the liberals who want my kids in government control "being properly socialized to fit into society"(what we were taught in teacher training) and all unperfect humans terminated and the conservatives who want to turn the nation into an evangelical police state, "taking kids from single parents to be put in wholesome 2 parent families"(this from a conservative women's web site against gay marriage). OK, I am getting off my soapbox now! I have completely wandered from the subject

A home schooler! I'm one, too. But not for much longer. One daughter is already in college and the other goes off this fall - at the ripe old age of 16. I loved it!
And now I need to find a new vocation.
