Do you have family to be with you, or have you devopled close ties to someone in Church that will be able to be with you all day and enjoy their company?
Last year when my kids were baptized, and my daughter made her First Communion, a lot of my dh's family made the 2 or 3 hour car trip to attend church with us, and come back to our house for a meal and Easter egg hunt. It was a joyful day, and it was wonderful to be able to spend it with people who knew how important the event was. Actually, I was a bit humbled by the whole thing.
Share your plans if you have any!
Ali

well, no plans since it will be so late at night, but it means so much to me that my mother and sister will be there and a frew CAtholic friends I met along the way. I am nervous about the next day where more family will eat supper at sisters house and I kind of want to talk about it and it will be the most recent big event, but my brother and sister in law may not want to be so enthusiastic so I do not know if I want to talk about it or not, because I hate making people sit through conversations that alieante them, but I also hope they somehow appreciate that it was a good day for me.

Thanks for asking, Ali. I hope that your Easter this year will be as joyous as the one you and your family had last year.
The Easter Vigil happens to be my birthday, so what a memorable birthday it will be! In addition to finally receiving the Body and the Blood of our Lord in the Euchraristic, I'm looking forward to having a piece of pineapple upside down cake.
Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ!
Elizabeth -- who is shortly in need of changing her profile yet again!

| No real celebration for me more of a feeling of peace. Also perhaps once my entry into the Catholic church is seen as final by my family and friends the controversy will die down and I can quietly go about my business all the time praying that my DH, my 16 yo hostile son and my "maybe kind of thinking about it" daughter will join me in the hopefully near future
