Hi, everyone!  I used to participate in the Forum quite a while ago.  I believe I used to be "Searching_for_Truth", if my memory remembers correctly.  ;)

Lots of changes to the Forum, pretty cool.  I hope to post more often and get to know all of you once again.

My story, fairly briefly, is that I am a cradle Catholic who received the Sacraments (Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) and then in my early 20's wandered away from the Church.  I did not reject the Church, I simply did not know what I had.  I was gone for 11 years in a series of non-denominational (mainly what they called Spirit-filled) churches.  I grew quite a bit, learned Scripture, developed a decent prayer life, etc.  After 11 years of changing churches and searching for the Truth (if you've been there, you know what I am talking about) the precious Holy Spirit took pity on me and graciously led me back to the Catholic Church through my prayer life.  I am eternally grateful!  I have been back since July of 2003.

God love you all and bless you!!

JesusLover

We're glad to have you back, and hope you'll be able to stick around this time!

Welcome back to CHN, JL!

Thanks, Rick!

I remember you.  I believe you were an RCIA instructor, am I correct?  Do you still do that?

Hey, Doc!  Thanks for the welcome.  Yes, indeed, how could anyone leave the Catholic Church if they truly understand what they have?!

It is the most amazing grace in my life; first, being raised a cradle Catholic and second, God leading me back after so long.

I am still cleaning out a lot of the bad theology I got in non-Catholic churches, and also still catechizing myself in a lot of areas as well.  But, as anyone in the Church can tell you, we really are being catechized our whole lives!  There is so much to learn.  It is quite a joyful journey.  :D

I took a couple of years off for other ministry opportunities, but I miss it so I've offered to return in the fall.
