It is my extreme pleasure to announce that our member Gnyssa, a former Anglican/Episcopal priest who converted to the Catholic faith, has been accepted and ordained as a Catholic priest under the Pastoral Provision!!!!!
Please welcome Father Gnyssa! Thank God for his ministry and praise God that he chooses to be a member of our forum!
We all know that priests in the Catholic faith are extremely busy, but please join me in welcoming Father Gnyssa to our Catholic priesthood. Pray for him and his family, and join me in begging him to share his experiences in becoming a priest of the Catholic Church!

"Please welcome Father Gmyssa."
Dear Father: As a fomer Episcopalian let me add a big hello for you and your family. I pray daily for my former Episcopal priest, a godly and loving man. He is in a lot of pain as I'm sure you understand. ( I e-mailed him the Pastoral Provision website a while back)
Thank you for your service to us. I'll pray for you.
God's Blessings,

This is indeed gratifying news. I began to frequent the CHN Forum about the time Gregory entered the Church, and he has been one of the luminaries here.
Father Gregory, you are now where God wants you! May God bless your ministry.

| That is great!! My own parish priest is a former Episcopal priest. He played a big role in my conversion and is one of the many reasons why I am Catholic today. He is a wonderful priest and is dearly loved by the parish.

Dear Fr. Gnyssa,
My dad is an Episcopal priest (retired). I don't think he is going to follow in your footsteps because of his health, but I pray that he and my mom will join the Catholic church someday.
Thank you SO much for what you are doing. I have many friends and relatives who just can't seem to break away from the EC. But I have many new brothers and sisters in the Catholic church. I am still learning about the Church and discovering that I have a long way to go. I became a Catholic because I wanted to receive the sacraments; now that I am one, I find that I NEED the sacraments much more than I realized before.
I thank God for you and all the men who are hearing the call to the priesthood in these days. "He remembering His mercy hath holpen His servant Israel: as He promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed for ever."
Lisa

My Dear Friends from CHNI
Thank you for your greetings and comments, and most of all thank you for your prayers. I ask for your prayers also from my brothers and sisters in the Episcopal Church who are struggling with their controversies. I will indeed post my conversion story and thank you for your interest. Please also remember in your prayers the wives of Pastoral Provision priests - they have a unique and often very misunderstood role in the whole experience.
I cannot express the joy I have at being a Roman Catholic Priest. I was ordained as a RC priest over a year ago and serve in a great parish. People out there in the media love to print bad things about the Church and yes sometimes bad things do happen. But the do not seem to mention the thousands and millions of kind people who pray, and serve the community and love the Lord in the Catholic Church every single Sunday.
To any Episcopalians, and particularly the clergy who may read this, let me say the following. I deeply know how hard it is to come over. It is an emotionally traumatic event to leave the Anglican community and particularly the priesthood when there is no guarentee of reordination. But after you make it across the journey, the joy outweighs the trials.
In terms of doctrine, sacraments, teachings and matters of faith, I lost NOTHING good when I became a Catholic. And I gained vastly more. All that is noble and good in Anglicanism you will find here in greater degree. There are challenges in being Roman Catholic - it is not all smiles and sunshine as many people on these boards have noticed. But it is full of Grace and to say the least, not at all boring.
I invite any Episcopalian or Anglican clergyperson, or their families, to contact me directly by private message about the Pastoral Provision process. Any inquiry will be kept in absolute confidence.
Thank you for your kind words, and again, I ask for your prayers.
Fr Gnyssa

Fr. Gnyssa, when you get the opportunity, could you summarize the process for us in another thread? I know circumstances are quite different from case to case, and especially for those who are not Anglican/Episcopalian, but a general summary would still be useful for those looking into the process, and for those of us who would just like to learn more about it.
I notice that the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is about to ordain its first priest under the Pastoral Provision. Hopefully we will soon see more Anglican Use parishes authorized as well.

God's peace. I echo the congratulations to Gnyssa and pray that his priesthood would richly bless the Church!
The bishop of my diocese (Tyler, TX) is about to bring in a married former Presbyterian under the Pastoral Provision! I'll let you know when it happens. Blessings, ~Br_Carlo~
