My daughter is living in the north suburbs of Chicago and she's asked if I could help her find a good parish. She's been attending St. Norbert's which she says is pretty good.
She would want a parish with good music, orthodox teaching, and active ministries. She lives in Wheeling.
Any suggestions would be appropriate. I'll forward your comments on to her.

Shoot. I know two pretty great ones in the western suburbs (not mine, mine's only okay). If she's in Wheeling, she's not that far from Marytown, too far for parish life, but close enough to (1) make a visit to its pretty grounds and chapel and (2) visit the Maximilian Kolbe exhibit and (3) maybe link up with other Catholics who know of a good parish north.
I'll ask around.

I live no where near Chicago but offer the following recommendation after looking at the Parish web site and bulletin:

If a Parish is still holding a midnight Mass they are at least worth looking at. Here in FL a midnight Mass usually starts at 9PM!!

| Another thought: if she/you google a parish that has Perpetual Adoration, they probably don't stink. It takes a good solid core of faithful and orthodox Catholics to keep PA going, and if they're the solid skeleton of a parish, you can't go too far wrong.
