Hi all,

It is me again, this time I wanted to let you all know that I am quickly getting used to the ideas and readings from the Church. I have printed out my first encyclacle which I am studying. I am also looking refrences up in my Bible and the Catechism. I have been able to listen to the local Catholic radio station here in town, and to top that all off, I called The CHNI offices today and was able to get some material mailed to me to assist me in my conversion to the Church. I am so blessed that there are the sources that are helping me and my faith grow in Christ. Thank you Marcus for CHNI, and thank you God for Christ and the Catholic Church.

P.S. I hope no one minds me writing into the forum this much. I just like being able to check in with you all!

Hello Jason,

Welcome! Sounds like you are going at it the right way. Good for you. It is an amazing journey. Ask any questions you may have. There are some smart people here (not me), who love to answer  honest inquiries.

Advent Pax,

Jason, it's good to hear of your enthusiastic studying. You are not alone in giving thanks for the Coming Home Network and all those who carry out the ministry, including Marcus Grodi and our moderators on the Forum.

Keep us posted on what you are studying.

Becky

Welcome Jason!  Your journey into the CC is just beginning, and the more you discover the beauty of our faith, the more beautiful it will become.  Catholicism is like a banquet of truth just waiting to be feasted on.  Once you discover the banquet, you'll never be satisfied with fast food again!  :D

Rick, I neglected to tell you that I like your new Kermie avatar.  It really shows the splendor of the little froggie.

Thanks to Susie (Prayerie Pal) for the creation.  She made me one with Kermie wearing a Saints shirt, too, but I'm saving it for the playoffs!  (Now THAT'S faith!)

By all means, keep writing, Jason! I like to have a lot to respond to! Makes my work more pleasant and enjoyable. :D

And you're only 3871 behind Rick. Who knows? A year from now he may be behind you!

That ain't nuthin'. True saving faith is hoping that the Detroit Lions make it to the Playoffs (or even have a winning season).

For the Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers, however, one is not required to exercise nearly that much faith . . . ;)

You would think with Stanford, it would at least be a smart redwood tree.  Tulane has  very smart Green Wave!

Stanford is a unique school. Full of brilliant students and professors who haven't the common sense of a toad. And I may be unkind to the toad.
But since I work there, I'd better be careful. Someone may figure out my disguise here and out me.

Boy, we're veering off course here...   My brother went to Stanford in the early 70's when they were the Stanford Indians.  Too politically incorrect, I guess.  Now they're what?  The Cardinals?  Or the trees??

We did enjoy watching them two Rose Bowls in a row in '71 and '72.

Are you ready for this? They are the Stanford Cardinal. Not Cardinals. Cardinal as in red. Now when was the last time you heard of a school called a color. Yeah, the Indian lost favor many years ago in the early days of political correctness. I do admit, the caricature of the Indian was a rather disrespectful one. I would have preferred a proud warrior. But then...what do I know?

And red is also the color of the Christmas poinsettia, and of the blood our Incarnate Savior shed on the cross, which also helps our faith to grow by faith and love.

And now that we're back on topic....
