Yes, perfect message, which I second, er, third. Cliff beat me to it.

Thank you to the moderators for all you do - and to those in the background who support this site.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holy Days!

Merry Christmas to all on our forum.  I will be thinking of you as I celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ's Incarnation this Monday evening.

I missed the forum while it was down!

Thanks to all of the moderators and other staff who keep it going.  You are always there when we need you and we appreciate that.

Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum, and blessings for you and your families and the time you will be spending together, celebrating the birth of our Lord.

I was wondering if it was just my computer not letting me on or if the forums were down...  Definitely missed them!

And I erm, fourth or fifth Becky's post!

Merry Christmas!  I really have enjoyed the wonderful environment here (which of course, says amazing things about the people!).

From here in the wilds of Patrick Henry's Hanover County, VA, I sure did miss you all too!  I was afraid that I would have to go back to the Fighting Fundamentalist Forums (Baptists) if I wanted to discuss Christian matters! Glad you all are back! Merry Christmas to all!! :D

I have missed the forum but it is my own fault.  I've been away for a long time.  I received my Christmas card today from Rick and others and reminded me to get back here.   There's so much to report and don't know where to begin since converting to the Catholioc faith.

Marshall, how are you feeling now?

Will your back be up to a drop down the chimney Monday night?

Is anyone else still having problems getting knocked off the forum?  It seems to be dropping me every so often.

Yes, Marsha, there are some technical hiccups. It crashed earlier, and Rick has done what he can remotely to keep it running. We’re hoping to see things fixed on the server after Christmas. Meanwhile, I’m having to use a backup browser because my regular one, like yours, is experiencing difficulties. With this browser, if I’m real careful to click very slowly and deliberately, it will respond fairly reliably and I can actually navigate and post.

Yes, the forum is still having problems.  I was able to get it back online but there's only so much I can do from a laptop in Louisiana to a server in Ohio, especially since I don't have ftp, shell, or even control panel access.  I'm not sure when the CHNI offices will reopen, but until then I'll do the best I can to keep the forum running.  Please be patient, and thanks for understanding.

(If anyone understood any of what I just said, I'd be happy to have your suggestions on ways to improve the situation using only a SQL interface!)
