Well, here goes nothing.

My name is Mary Clare Piecynski and I, as you might have guessed, work for the Coming Home Network.  I also sell trash to fellow homeless people to supplement my CHN salary.  I'm actually the newest member of the CHN staff, I was hired on about 4 months ago.  Part of my job description (besides creating as much general havoc at work at possible) is re-starting the youth organization Quo Vadis which assists youth on their journey into the Catholic Church.  So if you're a teen or young adult and would like to get involved with Quo Vadis please let me know!

Now for a little about me, myself and I.  Well, I graduated this past spring from Ave Maria University with a degree in theology.  Like Laura, I am a cradle Catholic.  Some of my past-times (those that are postable :)) include reading (theology, historical fiction and mysteries mainly), photography, board games (Apples to Apples anyone???), playing practical jokes, watching movies and learning more about my faith.  I grew up (or did I?) in Ohio and am currently living at home with my family.

For more information please see the yellow pages.  Or just ask, whichever you prefer.

Anyway, I'm quite excited to be part of the CHN forums and getting to know you all!

May God bless you all,

I'd like to offer a formal "welcome" as well, to all the new moderators, from a fellow moderator. I'm especially happy to see some women participating in this task, since we have so many of the fairer sex around here, and (like most men) I have not come close to totally figuring out women yet. :D;) But I give it the old college try!

Just one clarification of fact:

I'm actually the newest member of the CHN staff, I was hired on about 4 months ago.

Nope, that would be me, with a tad bit less than three months. I know it seems like I'm not on staff, though, due to my working out of my home up here in metro Dee-troit. Pretty soon I'll be payin' ya a visit down in Ohio-land. I look forward to meeting everyone. I knew Marcus and Jim already and actually talked to a few other staff in Steubenville at the DTF conference last year, but don't recall who it was, as it was just a brief greeting.

Awful!? What are you, a Buckeyes fan or sumpin'? I don't follow college stuff, anyway. I'm a Pistons fan. I didn't even go to U of M or MSU. I went to Wayne State Univ. in Detroit: the third largest college in the state.

Okay, Dave-our-newest-staff-member, got any deep dark secrets you want the board to know about?  Introduce yourself.  :P

Naw, I'm shy about stuff like that, but I have a ton of things of a more personal nature on my page:

Personal Page: "Who's This Dave Armstrong Character?"

Maybe my biggest "deep dark secret" is that I still love Jimi Hendrix music?

On a personal note, I want to welcome all the new moderators.  I am absolutely thrilled to have you all here!  I've thought for a long time that the forum is CHNI's best-kept secret, and with participation from the staff there's so much more we can do.  Kermie can go back to sittin' on the cypress logs, and maybe I can even retire the gator I keep around to threaten those who misbehave.

Happy Mardi Gras, y'all!

You do realize if I drove 2189 miles from Houma to Apple Valley to eat a piece of King Cake and got the baby, you would then have to drive 2189 miles to my house to get a piece of the next cake?

Some of us have not yet reached the 40th anniversary of our 39th birthday and still have to work for a living!

Well, if you all go out to Apple Valley, don't forget to go to the Roy Rogers museum where you can see Trigger, Roy's stuffed horse, in all his glory!  Happy Trails!  ;)

Also, regarding Jimi Hendrix mentioned above, I read that one of the lyrics to one of the songs he sang was frequently misinterpreted as "Scuse me while I kiss this guy!" instead of "Scuse me while I kiss the sky!" Oh well, guess after playing guitar with his teeth, he may have had a hard time pronouncing words after that!  :)

Well, guess I better get on to bed so I can get up in the morning and watch the Daily Mass on EWTN! Good night all!

I've actually got the Budweiser Clydesdales staying across the street.  They're here for the parades, as they are every year.

Also, regarding Jimi Hendrix mentioned above
Nothing against Hendrix, but we've got Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Sheryl Crow, Al Green, Elvis Costello, Allan Toussaint, Dr. John, Tim McGraw, Santana, Irma Thomas, the Count Basie Orchestra, and about a zillion other acts including the Neville Brothers at Jazzfest this year!

That's after we make it through Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, the NBA All-Star weekend, Holy Week (Good Friday is a legal holiday here), and the Summit of North American leaders.

Can't resist posting another one...  "Oooh, owned!"  ((Or, if ya wanna get really technicial, I think they use "pwned", although I'm not precisely sure why.))

And Rick, I'm always up for a trip.  :P  When's the flight heading out, Cliff?

Thanks CajunRick.  We have no secrets around here, hah hah.
As Kermit, you could serenade us.  Where is Miss Piggy in all this?
Hopefully we won't need the gator, either.  Who needs gators when one has Bob Dylan music?

Kermie leaves the singing to me.  He sounds like a frog.

Miss Piggy is afraid to show her face in south Louisiana.  Ever hear of a boucherie?

Is that that old song?:
