My daughter had originally asked to stay involved with her old youth group even when she decided to become Catholic, last night she said she wanted to start alternating attendance with her friend's youth group at another parish. she has already asked if we could sometimes attend this other parish and I told her that I would take her- it is in town (we are rural) and most of her classmates go there. it is also a little more Anglo whereas our parish even though the mass is in English is heavily Spanish speaking. Also there are two Steubenville conferences near us- One in San Diego ( 3 hours away) and 1 in Tucson ( 4 hours away) apparently her friend is planning to go and my daughter wants to go too.
This is great because once my daughter gets more involved in activities vs. "going to Church" I think it will help with my kids' transitions and my son tends to follow my daughter's lead.

Hey Kim:
Praise the Lord your daughter is involved in church anywhere! That she is growing closer to the Lord! Have you sought out the youth events at your Catholic Church? Maybe she could start bringing some of her friends there? Wouldn't that be awesome?
I would most certainly, as a mom, look into all the youth activities at your local parish, and try to get her involved there. She'll most likely make instant friends and not care that much anymore about her old friends at the Protestant place. This is what I did with my son, and it seemed to have worked. He used to love, (we all used to love) the Calvary Chapel we used to attend mid-week, and their youth group, but once I started bringing him to our parish's youth night, he made new friends right away. Now he's very involved, and has met some friends whom are Catholic. This is awesome!
Good luck fellow mom,~~

| They do go to Catholic school- my son is not social enough to attend youth programs- he has autism and my daughter up till now has been resistant. This year though her friends at the school are more "common interest freinds" and less "we went to middle school together friends" and since these kids are active Catholics it helps.
