*I posted this on my blog, too (link below). Too tired to write a fresh account. Hope y'all don't mind.* :typing:

I had a long and enjoyable talk with the only Catholic I know in real life - an old friend from my food co-op. Neither of us uses the co-op now since what we used to buy is so readily available in the stores. Nonetheless, we became friends and yet lost touch.

I've been thinking about her for months, wanting so badly to talk to her about what I've been going through and learning, but finally, in God's timing, got up the courage to call her yesterday and we talked for quite a long time. Then we met this morning and talked a bunch more. And we plan on getting together next week to talk even more...and almost all we talked about was the Catholic Church and what God was doing in our lives. It was glorious! I love having conversations where God is at the center.

For once in my 18+ years as a Christian I feel like I'm coming home. :woohoo:

Thanks Becky! I know all of you are real, too, lol. But you know what I mean. I'd LOVE to chat with you all face to face! It would thrill me to no end!

Well, I had the world's best party planned for all the folks on the forum and was sent to the corner for my trouble.

:tiptoe:

So, guess we'll just have to admit that Rick's not real, Becky's not live, and Marshall's not quite Catholic; but you've found a friend who is all three!!!

Good going Kim, you're moving in the right direction!  Sitting with a real person in front of you who can talk about her journey and listen to yours is the best.  Now you just have to let us know how its going!  It keeps us encouraged too. :hugging:

I wouldn't doubt it, Rick. She's the type that would be most happy to oblige. She's just a dear, dear person. She's already offered to go with me to Eucharistic Adoration. She goes to a CC not as nearby as the other one in our area, for reasons she stated as personal preferences. But she was willing to meet me at the nearby one. I'm wondering if I should just follow her to her church or hang out closer by. I want to be active when I get involved, and the farther away a church is, the harder that is to do - especially with gas prices lately. :shocking: So I'll just see where God directs me. So far I'm thrilled with the direction I'm in, so I'm trusting Him to continue holding my hand along with Mary and all the other saints He's assigned to pray and watch for me. Oh, and the angels He has fighting off the enemy who is on my heels with his tricks. :eyeroll:

Dear Kim,

You'll never regret your decision to join the one true Church.  I'm so happy your struggle to decide has passed. :woohoo:

You rock too! You've brought a lot of life and enthusiasm and warmth and zeal in your posts. That makes for good discussion (and developing friendships).
