How do you put a block of text from someone elses´ post into your post so that you can refer to it specifically when you respond??  You know....the white boxes with text I see in all of your responses.  Thanks so much.

You can also do a copy and paste, then highlight the pasted text and hit the quote button.

A problem I have been having is when I want to partially quote and then respond and save more of the original text for later, is that I can not move to new paragraphs without starting new boxes

wait I am doing it now.... but I am responding to the box as a whole I want to do it, with some, and then more. I used to know.

A problem I have been having
wait I figured it out. I highlight part of the quote, then hit the quote selection feature, then hit enter and now I am free from all the boxes!!! lets see if I can do it again.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #f8f8f8"
is when I want to partially quote and then respond
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #f8f8f8"lets see, this time it seemed to work

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #f8f8f8"but my words seem to be highlighted in gray and double spaced, yet I thinki did the same exact thing. lets try again.
and save more of the original text for later, is that
this time the same tihng may happen. lets see, every time I hit enter I am two lines below, but if I type two full lines and hit enter

well, it still drops down two lines...but maybe it does that anyway?

The easiest way is to copy from the original message(s) (which you'll find below the new message entry block) and paste into your new message, then highlight it and hit the quote button.  You can also use BBS code and include the text between quote tags using the bracket character so that the block I quoted above would look like this:

[quote]wait I am doing it now.... but I am responding to the box as a whole I want to do it, with some, and then more. I used to know.[/quote]

And it comes out like this:

wait I am doing it now.... but I am responding to the box as a whole I want to do it, with some, and then more. I used to know.
