I have a photo bucket account, is it possible to upload one of my pix from there for my avatar? I no longer have the photo I want to use on my PC.
Thanks!
Ali

Nevermind, I just saved it back to my PC. Sometimes the easiest answers are the hardest to come up with, LOL

Edited -- But why is it now showing up here for me? When I'm in my account, it shows me my new one. But I don't see it here on the furums.
So, yes, I still need help. Which is nothing new

Ali,
Your old avatar was showing up for me until I refreshed the page. Then I saw your new one.
Refresh your page and take a look.

Thanks, Ruth, it worked!
I left the forums, exited Firefox, and was just coming back to delete cookies/clear they cache when I saw your post. I refreshed & it worked. Weird.

Not really. Your computer stores images so they can be loaded more quickly. When you upload a new avatar it is saved under your user record, so the computer recognizes it as the same image. It loads from your computer's cache until the page is refreshed, either manually or automatically. Clearing the cache accomplishes the same thing, because it forces the computer to download the images all over again.

I think something's still wrong with your avatar. It has a Pittsburgh Steelers helmet for some weird reason.
GO COWBOYS!

Oh, I very much agree! I insist all these posts that don't agree with my Steeler's-are-the-greatest opinion be deleted at once. They are inciting me, and not very supportive on top of that. I can no longer be responsible for my flaming of them in other threads from now on.

Thank goodness you didn't say "GO YANKEES." I fear I would have had great difficulty had that been the case.
However, as you know, your Red Sox and my Angels are meeting first in the playoffs, so I must say
go Angels!!!!!

And since we call all agree that angels rock (especially Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael), let's stop this "my team is better than your team".
I might feel differently if my team was not 0-3 and I was not in mourning, but they are and I am.

I'm with you CajunRick. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Clemson fan, as are all my family. We're hanging our heads today. Woe is us. !

At least this year we have the LSU Tigers to ease our suffering. As I write this, the Saints are leading the Panthers 13-6, so maybe the tide is beginning to turn.

Never forget that in the REAL glory days of the Steelers. a Louisiana quarterback (Tery Bradshaw) was running the offense, and the offensive hero (Franco Harris) was from my town.
